Title II Reporting for Higher Education Act

All teacher preparation programs in Louisiana must submit data to the U.S. Department of Education annually to comply with the Higher Education Act. This is a two-part process.

First, teacher preparation programs must enter data about all program candidates on an ETS Title II website, and passage rate reports are developed by ETS regarding the percentage of candidates who took and passed state licensure assessments. Second, teacher preparation programs must enter additional data about their individual programs on a Westat Title II website. This information is then used to develop a State Title II report that the State submits to comply with the Higher Education Act.

Documents developed by ETS and Westat to assist teacher preparation programs in entering data on their websites can be found on their respective websites.

The following documents have been developed by the Louisiana Board of Regents and Louisiana Department of Education to help teacher preparation programs in Louisiana use similar interpretations when entering data on the ETS Title II website and Westat Title II website.

The Master Plan

To move Louisiana aggressively forward, the Board of Regents has embraced a robust new attainment goal that calls for 60% of all working-age adults (ages 25-64) in Louisiana to hold a degree or high-value credential by 2030. As we stand on the brink of a new decade, this Master Plan, born of the Board of Regents’ unique charge to guide postsecondary education across the state, will set the foundation to increase opportunity.  Our Talent Imperative is to Educate, Innovate, and Collaborate.
