All teacher preparation programs in Louisiana are required to submit data to the U.S. Department of Education on an annual basis to comply with the Higher Education Act. This is a two-part process.
First, teacher preparation programs must enter data about all program candidates on an ETS Title II web site and passage rate reports are developed by ETS regarding the percentage of candidates who took and passed state licensure assessments. Second, teacher preparation programs must enter additional data about their individual programs on a Westat Title II web site. This information is then used to develop a State Title II report that is submitted by the State to comply with the Higher Education Act.
Documents developed by ETS and Westat to assist teacher preparation programs in entering data on their web sites can be found on their respective web sites.
The following documents have been developed by the Louisiana Board of Regents and Louisiana Department of Education to help teacher preparation programs in Louisiana use similar interpretations when entering data on the ETS Title II web site and Westat Title II web site.
