Cameron T. Jackson

Cameron T. Jackson is from Birmingham, Alabama. He is currently a senior Computer Science, Math & Physics major at Grambling State University who will be graduating in May of 2022. 

 

While at Grambling State University, Cameron has dedicated much time to being a well-rounded scholar. Cameron was inducted into the Earl Lester Cole Honors College in the fall of 2018. He has been on the President’s and Dean’s list every semester since his freshman year at Grambling State University. Cameron is extremely involved as a servant leader too. His peers have elected him to serve as the 2021 – 2022 Student Government Association President. He is a member of The Biological and Pre-Doctoral Society, National Society of Black Physicists (NSBP), The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE), Center of Mathematical Achievement in Science and Technology (CMAST), The President’s Student Leadership Initiative (SLI) and The Delta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated. 

 

Adjacent to his academics, he invests an amplitude of time in research and fellowships. He has researched with RPI of Troy, The Flat Iron institute of Manhattan, UCLA Public Health Scholars of Los Angeles, Boston University of Massachusetts, and most recently, he was selected as a 2021 Governor’s Fellow for the State of Louisiana, where he will create a policy under the advisory of The Louisiana Department of Health.

 

Upon graduation, he will be seeking admission into medical school in Louisiana. He is also aspiring to continue his research in biomedical sciences.
