Anthony Bernard Kenney, Jr. was born on January 28, 1997, in Baton Rouge Louisiana to the Parents of Joyce Kenney and Anthony Kenney Sr. Anthony is the youngest of 4 siblings of the family. Anthony attended Scotlandville Magnet High School where he finished third in his class while being apart of numerous organizations such as the High School’s Marching Band and the SGA Student Body President during his senior year.
Now Anthony is a Senior at Southern University and A&M College. He is currently majoring in mass communications with a concentration in public relations. During his first year at Southern, he was apart of numerous organizations such as the Student Government Association, Dolores Margaret Richard Spikes Honor’s College, Men’s Federation, and Jaguar Ambassadors, and apart of the World Famous Human Jukebox Marching Band. Currently, he serves as the 2018-2019 Student Government Association President of the Student Government Association and was recently elected to serve as the Student Member of the Louisiana Department’s Board of Regents.
Anthony’s most notable achievement was engaging in conversation with former President of United States, Barack Obama, over the concern of the future of HBCU’s. Anthony question made numerous news outlets such as The New York Times, CNN, and Roland Martin, to name a few. After college, he plans to pursue his Juris Doctorate at Southern University’s Law School. He lives by the quote, “In Order to Fearlessly Fly, one must first trust himself. In order to trust Himself, you must know WHO you are!”
