Raymond Brandt from New Orleans

Mr. Brandt is an attorney, CPA and automobile executive appointed by Governor Bobby Jindal to represent District One on the Louisiana Board of Regents.

Mr. Brandt owns and manages numerous car franchises throughout Louisiana and Mississippi.  He has received many awards, including the Infiniti Owner First Award of Excellence and the Nissan Owner of First Award of Excellence.

Former two-time Chairman of the Nissan National Dealer Council, he is currently the Chairman of the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission.

An alumnus of St. Aloysius High School in New Orleans, Mr. Brandt received his BBA, MBA and JD from Loyola University.

He is married to Jessica Brandt.





Through the development and promotion of the Louisiana Transfer degree, a robust articulation and transfer system is now in place.

Graduation Rates are increasing overall.

Louisiana higher education fall enrollment has increased by 16,167 students since 2008.

Working with BESE, the Board of Regents has helped to ensure that more students are graduating from high school ready for college or career. ACT scores are on the rise.
