W. Clinton Rasberry Jr. from Shreveport


Mr. Rasberry was named to the Board of Regents by Governor Foster on June 25, 2003. Mr. Rasberry was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, received a B.A. from Vanderbilt University and attended post-graduate LSU Forestry school.

He is currently managing partner in Crestview Woods, Westport Real Estate; Rasberry Commercial Properties along with partnerships in Best Western Richmond Suites; the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Dallas North, and Commercial Real Estate.

In addition to the Regents, Mr. Rasberry serves on a number of professional and community organization boards, including the Louisiana Public Broadcasting, Strand Theater Corporation, Sci-Port Discovery Center Foundation, Boy Scouts of America; and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Foundation in Shreveport. Several past civic and board activities include the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce; the Louisiana Cemetery Board; the Greater Shreveport Economic Development Foundation; and the United Way. Mr. Rasberry was named Tree Farmer of the Year for 2012 and received the Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award because of the role he has played in support of scouting.

Mr. Rasberry is married to the former Pamela Kathryn Wilson and they have one son. He is a member of the First Presbyterian Church.





Through the development and promotion of the Louisiana Transfer degree, a robust articulation and transfer system is now in place.

Graduation Rates are increasing overall.

Louisiana higher education fall enrollment has increased by 16,167 students since 2008.

Working with BESE, the Board of Regents has helped to ensure that more students are graduating from high school ready for college or career. ACT scores are on the rise.
